I’ve been relatively surprised at how easy it’s been to transition back into my life without my mom by my side.  It can be a difficult transition from having someone from my country let alone my mom with me all the time to having no one with me.  But I’ve actually found myself enjoying the quietness of my life.  When I returned to Zeway on Sunday, I hid myself in my house and watched movies.  I think that I wasn’t quite ready to re-enter my life in Zeway, so I spent some nice time by myself and became a temporary recluse.

Yesterday, work was rather boring.  There was no power again.  apparently despite the bit of rain the country has received it hasn’t been sufficient enough to stop the rolling blackouts.  We’re now at 3 days a week without power.   The big news for this week is that there is a Food for the Hungry Africa Regional Meeting at Langano (the lake south of Zeway).  Lots of the big people in Food for the Hungry from all of the world are here, talking about mission, vision, programs and of course money.  On Thursday, we will be sending all of the guests to various homes for homevisits with the families who have children in the sponsorship program.  It should be a good visit and will keep us on our toes until it’s all over.
